Where is Mr.Forrest Gump?

There are people like us who have a purpose behind anything they do and there are people like Forrest Gump who do it because they felt like doing it.I was laughing my ass off when the reporters started questioning him why he was running all over America for 3 years, without stopping? Was it for human rights, was it for the poor, was it for some feminist movement? And the perplexed Mr.Gump couldn't think of anything other than the truth-he felt like running. What is a big deal about it?After all,he's just running.Well,Mr.Gump,if Kim Kardashian is famous because she tried to overcome her insecurities by posing nude, you should know no one runs free of cost nowadays. There is no act on earth that is devoid of publicity.Even,I am writing a blog so that people can read my mind, that's also sort of a publicity. After all,Any publicity is good publicity.

It's very rare when you actually do something because you felt like doing it,and people will start attaching various connotations to it.It just shows how shallow we have become that nothing ever comes for free. Not even feelings and desires. While Apple and Microsoft are fighting over the trophy of the best technology giant, people in my college are coding hard to get a good job at some big-ass company, the entire world is running on Mark Zuckerberg's facebook(well that was a result of his own desultory ramblings),phone companies are trying to make more phones that can turn us more narcissistic with every passing day,I sit here writing my blog, which of course many people will consider a waste of time. Some even think am some sort of an imbecile who takes up writing as an hobby, who writes when she can get a good job and earn lots of money?I think I have the same answer for them like Forrest,I feel like writing,so I write.I gives me joy and it gives me wings to fly. When I watched Forrest doing everything that people asked him to do,I realized he may be stupid according to the IQ standards set up by the school, but he was actually the smartest man.He wasn't doing anything because he wanted fame or recognition,he was a man living life his own way.Just think when he meets people and he tells them he has played football in college, then he was in the army, then he played ping pong and finally he caught shrimps in his boat.If you see,the first three things he did was to satisfy the purpose of others, they took advantage of his talents but Mr.Gump did everything without questioning. When he started catching shrimps because it was his late friend's wish, people thought he was some sort of lunatic who was pursuing a career in fishing after being awarded the medal of honor by the President of America. He even handed over half of the money to his friend's mother.People like Forrest believe a promise is a promise after all.He did everything the world expected him to do.He got rejected by the woman he loved, so many times and yet he loved her.

There was one thing that I realized after watching the movie. The world doesn't need any more intelligent people,it needs people like Forrest Gump.People like him don't invest money in every act of goodness, they do it because they know that will make them happy.Forrest's innocence touches everyone wherever he goes.He doesn't give anything a second thought before doing it,he just does it.Like that time, when he saved the Lieutenant's life.Poor Mr.Gump doesn't know the glory of death in war but he knows the importance of life. With religion and war tearing apart the whole world into pieces,Lennon's imagination might actually remain an imagination. But somewhere on the road,at some corner in the world, there will always be a Forrest Gump - he will do good things because he felt like doing it.
